Melissa recently used coveritlive.com to live blog the Brownsville City Commission meeting. I think it's an awesome service. Her second test answers a lot of questions. One of the employees at Cover It Live joined us and answered questions about the service, in case you want to find out more.

Kudos to Melissa for discovering the service. Will anybody else take up live blogging?

I've done a bit of liveblogging last season, probably about 5-6 games before i started using ustream, but not through a service. I just blogged to the same post in wordpress and kept updating it through the night. This service looks pretty cool. I might think of using my chat room next time, but I also want a record of it for archving purposes on the blog. I'll have to think about it some more.

Pretty Cool, only downfall is not every place will have Wifi.. but that's cool software. So after you finish liveblogging does it keep a transcript? I'm skimming thru the site..checking it out.. could be very useful.

Yes, it keeps an archive of the entire thing. I asked about it being search engine friendly, but did not get a response. I figure one might be able to copy and paste the entire thing afterwards.
