RGV New Media

Conversations by the Rio Grande Valley New Media community.

It's been so long since I've been to the RGV, I've almost forgotten about all the good stuff. At least until I ran into a Harlingen grad living and working here in San Antonio. Turns out we both graduated from Harlingen High School. Of course this was before there were two high schools in Harlingen. (yeah, I know I'm dating myselft ;-P)

We talked about going to the Immaculate Heart of Mary church on Sunday mornings and the subsequent visit to the panderia to pick some Barbacoa and Pan Dulce. There is something about Pan Dulce from the RGV. It tastes the best. I've had pan dulce from many places and it is never as good as the pan dulce you can easily pick any day of the week in the RGV. We also talked about eating a giant carne guisada taco con todo at El Taquito. Where we lived, where our grandparents lived and just overall memories from so long ago.

It was a nice reminder of a simpler time in my life.
